HOUSING STABILITY
Improving, adding and diversifying housing to provide stability for existing residents, and to welcome new residents of all types to the community, is the focus of this area. To support this burgeoning mixed-income part of the Historic Westside, new amenities and services and improved connections will be introduced, including parks and public spaces, new retail space, and roadway improvements.

City of Las Vegas together with community partners, will implement program(s) to work with homeowners wishing to make improvements to their houses and landscaping.

Nevada Preservation Foundation
Revolving Fund established to purchases, rehabilitate and sell residential properties in Historic Westside.
(80 homes currently under consideration).

Neighborhood Housing Service of Southern Nevada
Community run nonprofit that acquires, rehabilitates, and retains (or sells) vacant homes on Historic Westside.

Re-imagined Park Elements
(1) Keep playground, activity area, skate park and basketball court.(2) Add greenhouses and harvesting facilities. (3 Add community learning facilities and community area. (4) Old Gate taken down and new gate entrances at Jackson Avenue and the new training and Development Campus off Washington Ave/ D Street.

Earn While You Learn Farming
Site partners for the proposed Urban Garden will be the Las Vegas Culinary Academy and University of Reno, Extension. Economic opportunities include an "Earn While You Learn" component to provide supplement wages for participants and their families.

Support Existing Businesses
Tailor one-on-one solutions for existing business through providing assistance tools and programs to enable growth.Provide opportunities if desired to relocate home-based businesses to Jackson Ave or along D Street corridor.

Small Business Startup or Relocation Assistance
Identity gaps in existing services and provide startups with support and relocation assistance. As well as, business plan development, assistance businesses interested in relocating to open store fronts, permitting support and marketing assistance.

Inner City Innovation Hub
Function to provide resources and aid to the unemployed and support minority-owned business to run business enterprises
